Customers
Import and export customer CSV files
CSV files are spreadsheet-style data files. Customers provides Import CSV and Export CSV controls.
Before you start
Special access for import/export and files that are allowed to be managed.
Step-by-step instructions
Follow these steps in order. You can keep this guide open while working in another Tautiva tab.
Log in to Customers and look for the Import CSV button.
Prepare a CSV file according to the format and instructions that appear in the import dialog.
Check the data before sending, especially names, phone numbers, and potential duplicate customers.
Run the import only after the format and permissions have been confirmed correct.
To retrieve data according to permissions, use the Export CSV button visible on the Customers page.
Save the export results in a secure location and share only with authorized parties.
PRACTICAL EXAMPLE
Example from daily work
Example: a contact list obtained legally from an old system will be imported using CSV after checking for potential duplicates.
This is a fictional training example. No real customer data was used.
Expected result
Changes or information are visible on the screen according to the actions taken.
Important notes
- Do not use real customer data just to try out the feature.
- If the file is rejected, follow the validation message on the dialog; do not randomly change the original data.
If something goes wrong
- Import rejected? Follow the file validation message and check the CSV format; do not change the source data randomly.
This guide describes the interface reviewed on 13 October 2026. Documentation testing did not send real messages, invite users, process payments, or modify real customer records.
